2.
Door Stewards
The Door Steward is the first person you see when you enter the doors of the church. Door Stewards welcomes you with a smile, a kind greeting and makes sure all the Covid-19 regulations are met. Without a door steward, it’s like walking into a dark lonely house.
We need door stewards.
3.
Multi-Media Team
The Multi-Media Team is looking for members who would like to help film the 09:30 Service every week. Training will be given. You do not have to panic; we will teach you everything and we will not throw you in the deep end.
4.
Small Groups
Starting this week, the Church and surrounding rooms for Small Groups will be open to use. Book your place and time.
5.
Ruach Counselling Centre is open and running both face to face and virtual consultations. We are starting a new video series bringing awareness on different issues. We will have a new video twice a month. Please watch on our Facebook page and share with friends.
This week Pinky shares a few steps to help you prepare for your first time attending a counselling session and to dispel any anxiety or resistance you may initially be feeling.
Please contact the Manager, Pinky Pitolo on 021 852 8176 or 078 796 1272 or ruach@coronationmethodist.co.za to set up an appointment. Sessions available by appointment only. The Centre follows strict Covid-19 regulations.
6.
Weekly food ministry to folk on the roadside. This ministry has continued throughout the festive season, with renewed high demand. We invite you to help butter and pack roadside hampers on Thursdays from 09:00 to 10:00. We also need some to help distribute. Contact the church office if you feel called to "do unto the least of Jesus' sisters and brothers". Material and cash contributions are also welcome.
7.
Hamper Ministry
Our Hamper ministry is an on-going ministry in our church. The contributions we receive through The Pantry brings hope to struggling families in our Congregation. We have many individuals that are facing serious economic challenges. In order to help, we provide food hampers to those in need. Please help by donating to our pantry. If anyone is in need of or knows someone in need of a hamper parcel, please contact Rev. Ralph Afghan.
On-going Pantry Needs: Canned – meat/tuna, fruit and vegetables; packet soup; pasta/rice; peanut butter/jam; Weet-Bix/Oats; Marmite/Fish paste; biscuits; tea/coffee/sugar; long life milk; personal care products and small washing powder.
